Personal information is collected to ensure I can provide safe, effective, and personalised counselling support, it is processed and stored using using encrypted password protected digital devices and written notes are stored in a locked cabinet. Data is collected so I am able to contact you, understand your needs, assess risk, and keep appropriate anonymised records of our work together. In line with GDPR legislation collecting this information also helps me meet professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities, including safeguarding and maintaining accurate clinical notes. Your data is used solely for these purposes and is never sold or shared unless you consent or it is required by law or if there is a serious concern about safety.  Consent is sought should it be necessary to share your information with trusted 3rd parties for example completing a referral for further support or providing relevant information to employee assistance providers.
